Digi-Sketch –[dij-i-skech]– a name used to describe the art style of digitally drawing illustrations in a vector based software platform. This art style is characterized by the complex layering of various shapes and lines to create a visual depiction of the subject. This art style was created and used solely by Sketchyou.

We could use the most eloquent of language to explain the Digi-Sketch art-style but as they say, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” so take a look below.

Phase 1: Added the base (skin) color and the hair

 Phase 2: Detail – Looks a bit scary right? Here’s where we added the deeper shadows and the white areas.

Phase 3: Outline – Here’s where we added some definition by outlining the Digi-Sketch.

Phase 4: Highlights – Here’s the cherry on top, the finishing touches are added by drawing a few highlights to show light reflection.
